Jean was our 2nd most deserving Society Honouree. She
shared with us,
among other things, over her precious life,
her devotion to Belleek via
her travels throughout Ireland
and her splendid collection which, she
compiled into her work Anatomy of a Belleek, c1996.
Our Belleek world
sadly feels
her loss.

Request to Update "Pieces Needed" in Your Pattern(s)
Hello from
Replacements, Ltd! Since you've previously
indicated to us an interest
in fine tableware and collectibles,
we wanted to let you know that as
we get closer to the very
active holiday season, we are conducting tens
of thousands of
searches for great tableware and collectible pieces
requested by those who've let us know of specific needs.
And since we
are searching anyway, we're updating our
records for the current
pattern and piece request
preferences of our customers.
To let us know
of particular items that you may be
interested in, you can take
advantage of an added feature
on our web site product listings to make
the request
notification process easier for hard-to-find patterns or
pieces. (If you have friends or family who may appreciate
our "Find
This for Me" service, forward this e-mail -
they'll thank you!)
The feature is called "Find This for Me," and it will make
it easier
for you to tell us which specific pieces in your
pattern(s) you would
like to have us search for (you can
even check to see if we now have
your items in stock, per
below).
Utilize their “Find This for Me” Tab on Right of
Screen and
follow their directions given, or if you already have a
pattern
Link, to use "Find This for Me", follow these simple steps -
a)
Click your (sample) pattern link(s) listed below.
(If you
don't see specific pattern links listed below,
we may not
have your specific requests on file,
or, to date, we
haven't had stock in patterns you've
requested. Please
go to the link at the end of the last
paragraph below to
sign up for or to confirm your items of
interest. Thanks!)
b) Scroll past "in stock" items that have blue "Add
to Cart"
buttons.
(If you see the pieces you need here, just click
to order!)
c) You'll
then see items "not in stock" marked with gold
"Find This
for Me" buttons.
d) Review this section, and click the "Find This for
Me"
buttons
for the specific pieces in your pattern(s) you'd
like us to locate
for you!
e) When you've finished selecting, complete the name and
address form
(so that we may verify our records), then
click "Submit." We'll then
enter your specific requests in
our computerized search system, and let
you know when
we find your pieces. It's very easy! You can start now by
clicking a sample ‘reply’ link(s) below!
If you don't see links above, or if you need additional
inventory
availability/pricing information for other china,
crystal, silver, or
collectible pattern(s), you can add these
requests via the same "Find
This for Me" process by going
to the following link, locating
additional manufacturer and
pattern names under the "China," "Crystal,"
"Silver," or
"Collectibles" tabs on our Web site, and following the
steps
above. If you prefer, you may also enter the additional
pattern
information manually.
While enjoying an early morning breakfast in a northern
Arizona cafe,
four elderly ranchers were discussing
everything from cattle, horses,
and weather, to how
things used to be in the "good old days."
Eventually the
conversation moved on to their spouses.
One gentleman
turned to the fellow on his right and asked,
"Roy, aren't you and your
bride celebrating your fiftieth
wedding anniversary soon?"
"Yup, we
sure are," Roy replied.
"Well, are you gonna do anything special to
celebrate?"
another man asked.
The old gentleman pondered this for a
moment, then replied,
"For our twenty-fifth anniversary, I took Bea to
Tucson.
Maybe for our fiftieth, I'll go down there and get her."
** SUSPECTED MARK ??
I was presently surprised to acquire the following armorial/
crested
dipper recently !! BUT,
that’s a whole other story !!
In any case, let’s examine its mark !!
I THOURGHLY believe
this to be a
VERY ‘suspicious’ mark !!
For discussion, please
reference my attached pair of photos,
one from the armorial item and
the other from a Grass Cup !!
BOTH
are essentially the SAME size, so your comparison
is easier !!
Mark
from my Crested Noggin Dipper !!
Actually, the Irish Wolf Hound is done rather well !!
The Harp should have a ‘better’ curve from its
pillar
(closest part
to Devenish Castle) over to the Sounding
Board, which, should also
have a PERFECTLY straight back !!
The strings also look a bit
‘re-drawn’, i.e., they’re not very
crisp,
i.e., straight or evenly spaced ??
As to Devenish Tower, its roof appears in total disrepair !!
It's ‘caving in’,
i.e., collapsing in shambles and TWO
of its
windows are missing !! The brim of the roof appears more
like a
Stetson, i.e., it’s arched !!
I believe the greatest errors
appear on Belleek’s Banner,
with Belleek
being ‘almost’ spelled BELLEFK !! The letters
are
SO uneven and not
at all on a smooth curve !! The ends
of the banner are shambles, with
what appears to be just
some ‘curly cues’, instead
of the proper shamrocks !! If you
look closely, you will actually
notice that MANY
of the little
flowers appear to be ‘star’ like,
i.e., little pointy flowers !!
Again, this is MY speculation and may be contradicted at
any time as
we’re discouvering different Belleek marks,
seemingly, like
every day !!
BUT, on the other hand, the Armorial (NOT pictured) is
FINELY painted
!!
A VERY fine
Grass Cup 1st. Period Mark !!
This is most probably my last Newslettre of this current
year, as my health, i.e., my advanced sholder arthritis, etc.,
prevents my typing much of anything, intelligent or otherwise !!
In any case, I TRULY WISH ALL Belleekers out there in
Belleek Land the most joyful of Holiday Seasons !!
